Coaches Corner, with Randwick Club Coach Ben McCormack

Last week was a big week for the Club, a huge Super Saturday at Coogee Oval hosting Northern Suburbs in which we took 7 wins from 8 games, including a well-deserved first grade victory.

The day's success took us to the top of the Club Championship ladder but as the boys discussed during the week, it’s a long hard road and we will need to back it all up again this weekend on the road against the Warringah Rats.

Our own Randwick Magic girls, having enjoyed a flying start, will play the formidable Ratettes on the main field after the first grade game this week and we encourage all players and supporters to hang around and watch this very talented team close out the day.

We also had 5 boys Oli Barden, Esei Ha'angana, Ben Donaldson, Triston Reilly, and Will Harrison competing in the U20 Oceania Championships on the Gold Coast which resulted in Australia beating NZ 24-0 to claim tournament honours.

Congratulations goes to those boys and especially Esei, Ben, Tristan and Will who have since been selected for the U20 World Cup Squad. A great achievement boys and all at Randwick Rugby wish you the best of luck.

Our next home game is on 18th May versus Manly which will also double as Ladies Day. We are pleased to announce all 300 tickets sold in just over two days and the event is looming as a massive Day and Night session at Coogee Oval.

Good luck to all Galloping Greens this weekend.
