West Harbour v Randwick

The opening round against Eastwood made it clear that work still needed to be done if we were to be serious contenders this year. The boys worked hard during the week in preparation for their clash against West Harbour. They started off well with Jackson Mohi scoring the first try after 14 minutes and building on that, to lead Wests 17 to 7 in the 28th minute. We went into the break trailing Wests 17 points to 19.

The message from the coach was, “Forwards need to action what we talked about.”

In the second half, things deteriorated for Randwick with Wests increasing the lead 39 points to 17. The saving grace was a try by replacement halfback Dimitry Chipizubov with 3 minutes left on the clock. The boys acknowledge there is a lot of hard work ahead of them.
