Randwick knock over an un defeated Northern Suburbs Outfit

After a hard fought win against Easts on Anzac Day, Randwick faced un undefeated Northern Suburbs (after four rounds). The boys worked hard at training this week and appeared a little nervous on Thursday night.

Randwick started well, with Fly Half Bryan Croke converting an early penalty to lead Norths 3 nil. Randwick appeared to dominate Norths until about 15 minutes in, when Norths intercepted a pass and ran 50 metres to score the first try. Randwick remained stoic and stuck to their game plan – providing a glimpse of what Randwick is famous for – with left Wing Jackson Mohi scoring Randwick’s first try from a backline move 50 metres out, promptly followed by a counter attack to the Norths restart putting Fullback Freddy Dorrough in the corner for a second try.

In the second half, Randwick’s outstanding defence and opportune offence denied North’s relentless attack. The 9-point win was secured by a second try to Left Wing Jackson Mohi, with Tom Halse securing a late field goal.
