The Kid's Cancer Project - The Better Challenge
I hope you are well and just a quick note to let you know about a great initiative Randwick Rugby is supporting this September.
To support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Randwick Rugby has got on board and setup a team to participate in The Better Challenge - to help raise much needed funds for The Kids’ Cancer Project, an independent national charity supporting childhood cancer research. Since 1993, they have been able to help fund numerous scientific studies to help children with many types of cancer and former Wicks and Wallaby legend Owen Finnegan is the driving force behind it.
For context 90 children are diagnosed with cancer each month in Australia and as many as 90% of kids who survive will develop one or more chronic health conditions, so this September we've got a better way to help them with The Better Challenge.
The Better Challenge requires participants to run, walk, crawl, cycle or roll to clock up a total of 90km in physical activity across September and in symbolic support of the 90 kids diagnosed with cancer each month. The aim is to help raise money to develop cancer treatments that are kinder, gentler and more effective for them.
In the spirit of it's better late than never, we encourage the Wicks family to participate, or you can simply support this great cause by making a tax-deductible donation to The Kids’ Cancer Project on our page, to help create a better future for kids with cancer.

Thanks in advance for your support and I’m about to punch out a few laps around Coogee Oval to keep the meter running to hit my 90km target.
Up the Wicks!
Regards
Mark
