Randwick Academy Manager and Life Member Jim Dubos steps aside.

Randwick Life Member Jim Dubos who has guided the Randwick Rugby Junior Academy the last eight years has stepped aside, handing duties to former Randwick player, Stuart Donaldson.

A highly valued and respected member of the community, Dubos was instrumental in the creation of the Randwick Academy way back in 2011, although has been with the club in various roles for decades.

His legacy has seen Academy numbers continue to grow, from 60 boys in 2011 to now over 240 boys and girls in this 2018/2019 season, with Dubos present at every session.

Academy training sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer months involved many coaches working on core rugby skills and fitness conditioning for each player.

The majority of the volunteer coaches are former Randwick players passing on their expertise and giving back to their club.

As a former Development officer of the Club, Dubos has played a role in many players development, however more recently with graduates of the Academy who have progressed to play First Grade with the Club, which includes Tom Wong, Pat Pellegrini, Will Harrison, Ben Donaldson, Christian Poidevin and Zac Carr.

Stuart Donaldson (pictured above with Dubos at Coogee Beach) will take on the role this month and continue the great tradition and legacy of the Academy and emerging local talent in the area.

The entire Randwick Rugby Club community would like to congratulate and thank Jim for his vision, passion, dedication and tireless work with the Academy and Randwick Juniors and we all wish him and his wife Georgina all the very best for the future.
