Jeffrey Leonard Sayle – Ashes Spreading Ceremony Saturday 23 November.
This Saturday, Coogee Surf Lifesaving Club will host the final stage of Jeffrey’s farewell – the spreading of his ashes. A surf boat containing 3 members of his 1972 Australian championship winning crew will escort Jeffrey out to Coogee Reef for the final time.
It’s a time honoured ceremony to pay tribute to much loved members of the surf club.
Date: This Saturday November 23
Time: 11am
Place: Coogee Beach - Surf Club/South End.
After the ceremony on the beach Coogee Surf Club will put on a light lunch and the bar will be open for drink purchases well into the afternoon.
There will be speeches, stories told, some tears, but lots of laughter and beers. All from Randwick Rugby are welcome to attend and his sister Janette would love to see you there.
It will be BEAUTIFUL!!
