Randwick Rugby Club is absolutely delighted to share the fantastic news that our much-loved former Club Doctor of 45 years and Life Member, Dr Joesph Casamento was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours List for 2025.
While Dr Joe OAM, has contributed so much in our local community more broadly, this honour was specifically for his incredible service to the Galloping Greens as our Honorary Medical Officer, where he selflessly volunteered with us for over four decades. For much of this time he did so alongside a loyal medical team that included Physio Di Long and also Dr Paul Raftos.
Joe always put the club first and has dedicated his life to our local community and the multitude of friends he has made in it, with his immense impact being absolutely immeasurable.
Massive congratulations Joe on such a deserving recognition and we know your beautiful wife Lis, 8 children and 25 grandkids are incredibly proud of you.
What a great Australian you are Dr Joseph Casamento OAM and thank you for all you have done for Randwick Rugby. How lucky have we been to have you!
Up the Wicks! 🐎 🐎 🇦🇺 🇦🇺
